Since March 1, 2014, Ester Vinyeta is on board as Species Leader Swine at DELACON. Ester Vinyeta started her professional career as lecturer and researcher on crop and food production at the Universitat de Vic (Barcelona, Spain) in 1992. In 2002 she moved to Esporc S.A., a Spanish feed company and swine integrator, as nutritionist and technical director of three feed mills. She conducted research partnering with universities and research institutes on feed technology, animal production and meat quality.
In 2009 she joined Schothorst Feed Research as senior researcher and consultant, focusing on nutritional requirements of piglets and fattening pigs but also collaborating closely with the poultry team. Before joining DELACON she worked at Bühler AG as Animal Nutrition Manager and also gave trainings offered by the Swiss Feed Technology Institute (SFT). Due to her employments and experience, Ester Vinyeta has a strong background as senior researcher and consultant, focusing on nutritional requirements of piglets and fattening pigs.
This March she took over the part of Species Leader Swine and feed technology expert at DELACON. Her main focus will be on developing solutions to customer's challenges and needs in order to increase their profitability through improved performance. Therefore, Ester will work in close cooperation with key customers to develop new ideas like feeding concepts and products together.
In her lecture at the Performing Nature Symposium, Ester Vinyeta will give an insight into innovative nutritional strategies to improve pig performances and feed efficiency.
